If your multi-media settings for the CD are set to "Enable CD Audio for this CD-ROM Device", the voices will be heard through your normal PC speakers. To force the sounds to the ear-phones plugged into the CD drive, simply un-check the "Enable CD Audio for this CD-ROM Device" in your multi-media settings.
